About Us

Our children are the future of the United States. and you can't spell United without U.N.I

The Walk aims to raise awareness of the impact that child abuse has on the United States. By walking from coast to coast, our goal is to educate each town I walk through about their own child abuse statistics, and to also provide information on all of the outreach programs each town has in place to help prevent child abuse in the first place. I will be keeping a daily VLOG about my day so people can follow me each step of the way. Each VLOG will provide new information to help educate the followers about child neglect and abuse. The VLOG will also provide daily routines of my 12-hour walk each day along with some entertaining comical sketches to keep the viewers laughing and smiling.

Our Mission

The Walk is Y-Empowerment’s vision of bringing awareness and aid in the prevention of child abuse within Kern County. It is the mission of The Walk to create an atmosphere in which our youth will be protected from abuse, empowered, and educated to speak up for themselves and others.

Our Vision

We provide services for children who have experienced abuse, witnessed domestic violence, or have parents who are or have been incarcerated. We do this, through Youth mentoring, social interaction, education, and empowerment of themselves with our daily workshops, retreats, and camps. We are dedicated to enabling our youth to follow the walk into a safe and healthy life.

Y-Empowerment, Inc., a non-profit organization that’s main objective is that of helping youth who have experienced domestic violence overcome their adversities and help them live healthy and productive lives. At Y-Empowerment Inc., we provide several services to domestic violence victims such as, Domestic Violence Counseling and Advocacy, Anger Management and Parenting Classes, Sexual Abuse Prevention classes, Supervised Visitation, as well as CPR
and First Aid Certifications. On July 4, 2021, Y-Empowerment will be hosting a virtual fundraiser to launch our newest program THE WALK; where our CBO will be walking across America highlighting statistics surrounding child abuse and who people can turn to for help, and how you can help!

Your sponsorships would go to creating and maintaining our safe house where youth would freely be able participate in mentorships programs, as well as create and maintain our very own camp where youth will be able to participate in weekend retreats and summer camps. Your sponsorship will be a tax-deductible contribution that will aid in making great strides in eradicating child abuse in Kern County. Your name will also be recognized on our websites as donors and at all our events that will be put on through the year. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and about
